My Hubby is One Tough Mudder

The husband has been looking forward to the Tough Mudder for a few months now.  It's basically a huge obstacle course combined with miles of running- I debated about trying it but being shocked by electricity and jumping into a pool of ice water...well, it wasn't high on my priority list this year.

I thought I was being original with Cooper's shirt- apparently they sell onesies that say the same thing (see below!)

Andy and his brother

See him?

Cooper's new thing is the "baby."  It even got muddy!

Run hubby run!

So handsome once he's all cleaned up :)

My sister-in-law is so creative- she always has the cutest party themes.  This was no exception- the Tough Mudder "Recovery Party" with mud themed drink and desserts

I'm sort of considering doing it next year- there were a ton of women there!  We'll see when the time comes.  Happy Tuesday!

Coop at the zoo

The week before we went to the lake, Kim and Jeremy and Paxton happened to be in Saint Louis so we went to the zoo.  I have photos of myself at the zoo as a toddler, so I was excited to take Cooper and see what he thought of it all.

By far, Cooper thought this curb was the best part of the whole place!
He loves curb jumping :)

Tomorrow, hubby will be doing his first Tough Mudder, so we're in for the night so he can be ready in the morning!

Coop's 1st Vacation/Labor Day Weekend

We decided to head to the Lake of the Ozarks over Labor Day weekend.  We've taken Cooper to Iowa a few times, but haven't been on a real "family vacation" yet so we thought it was about time!  We stayed at Tan-Tar-A, which was super kid friendlyWe met up with our friends Kim and Jeremy from Springfield and their two little ones, Paxton and Parker.  It was my first time meeting sweet little Parker :)

The Beach

Not loving the indoor waterpark at first

The lake is beautiful, but super rough, especially during a holiday weekend.  There is no pictures of me on the boat, because I may or may not have had a panic attack when we were crossing the channel.  Holy shit.

Kim and Miss Parker

Cooper even got in the lake!  He was in there for at least a half hour or so- loved it

Watching fireworks with dada Sunday night

Coop passed out watching fireworks...so sweet!

"DA-DA!"

I'm so excited to go back next year!  There's nothing better than the water, sunshine, a little bit of country music (hubby's becoming a fan!), a beachy cocktail and my family :)

Sweet For Certain
